BACKGROUND

Lafferty is a project leadership company based in Ireland. Originally focussing on biotech they wanted to branch out into other business areas under their existing name and so sought a new name to flagship their biotech business.

Core values of project leadership, breadth of analytical framework and resolution of organisational complexity were key attributes we used in our name modelling process.

PROJECT

Provia emerged as the lead name candidate because of its base components of Prov- ‘proof’ and -via ‘the way to it’.

These elements spoke both to Provia’s proven project management capabilities and the proof of the efficacy of their clients’ products through the scientific way (via) of testing, observing and recording.

This name also came out near the top of our
linguistic checks in twenty world languages.
